After a humbling loss to the Newmarket Redmen Friday at the Sutton Forum, the boys from the Blaze came out ready to play vs the Waxers Sunday afternoon.....
The Waxers found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time Sunday afternoon. The Blaze were coming off a trouncing at the hands of Newmarket and were about to take out their frustrations on an unexpecting Markham squad. There was never any doubt in this one as the Blaze opened up a 3 goal lead and never gave Markham a sniff. Make the final 4-1 Blaze!
"We controlled the game from start to finish" said Steve Knispel in his post game address to the media Sunday. What was the difference you ask? "We played as a team, we used each other and suppported one another out there today" said Neil Rothwell.
That's the kind of game we need to play to be successful! Great bounce back win boys! Let's bring that play into Newmarket this weekend.
Good teams have good leadership, there is a real closeness with this group of coaches and players. Have a look at this picture for example.
