Programs that are available for which one can apply for Assistance.

 We recognize that it can be expensive to play hockey. We want to ensure that every child who wants to play hockey has the opportunity to play hockey. There are organizations in Ontario which assist children to play organized sports such as hockey such as those listed below.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart

 ·         Children must fall between the ages of 4 – 18 years old

·         Funding is up to $300 per child is available

·         A maximum of one program per child is allowed per season

·         Funding is available for different members of the same family during the same season

·         Funding is dependent on the financial situation of each child and will be determined by the Jumpstart Committee

 Georgina Cares Fund

The Georgina Cares Fund provides funding to children up to the age of 15, who live in the Town of Georgina, to take part in extracurricular activities or for special needs when their parents/guardians cannot afford to do so.

KidSport
up to 18 years of age and up to $250

KidSport supports children who need financial assistance with
sport registration fees and equipment costs. We believe that the power of sport participation promotes the development of
children's social, mental and physical well being. Through
increasing access to quality sport programs, KidSport strengthens communities across Canada.

Hockey Canada Assist Fund

The Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund was created in response to the many families experiencing financial challenges. The goal of the Fund is to help Canadian youth access hockey and play the game they love.

The Assist Fund will provide up to $500 per player in registration fee subsidies to approved applicants who are registered with a Hockey Canada-sanctioned association.
