Positive news regarding hockey
Submitted By Tammy Sedore on Thursday, June 4, 2020
Hello Everyone, just passing on some positive information in regards to the potential return of hockey.

On March 12th, 2020 the decision was made to cancel all hockey sanctioned events across the country.  Today we were provided by Hockey Canada their guidelines for the return of hockey.  As part of these guidelines Hockey Canada has also recognized that each part of the country is different in how and when each Province is ready to re-open.  Hockey Canada has determined that the best approach for a return to hockey in Canada is a regional approach which will allow each Provincial member the opportunity to work with the authorities in their respective regions to determine when it is safe to return to the ice in areas that fall under their jurisdiction.

Our governing Provincial member the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) has advised us that their return to play guidelines will be provided to us on June 8th, 2020.

At no time does this mean any hockey sanctioned events can begin but when they can we will have the necessary information in order to move forward.

The Hockey Canada Guidelines for return to play have been attached
