New framework announced for re-opening
On Tuesday November 4th the Province of Ontario announced a new framework for re-opening.

As of Saturday November 7th, 2020 York Region will transition out of the “Modified Stage 2” and into the new “Restrict” phase.

What does this mean for the GMHA

For the most part, this represents a return to how we were operating in Stage 3 which includes the return of our IP and U18 (Midget) programs as well as regular team practices and modified game play. It is anticipated that we will be able to implement this plan starting Saturday November 7th 2020, we are just waiting for some clarification and direction from the Town of Georgina and the Province before we can go ahead

In addition to our previous operating plan, please review these highlighted key points:

·       Pre-Screening must continue to be completed
·       Everyone must continue to observe physical distancing, wearing a mask while inside (except during sport participation) and sanitizing/washing hands frequently.
·       Guardians may continue to enter to assist with putting on equipment
·       Games and Scrimmages may resume as in stage 3, within a cohort of no more than 50 participants.

What has changed (as of Saturday) from how we operated in Stage 3?
·       One guardian/spectator per participant may remain within the building for ANY age, however;
o  This means a maximum occupancy is 50, which is now a combined total participants, coaches, officials and spectators.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the rink once again. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these difficult times.
