The Georgina Minor Hockey Association is looking for an upbeat, reliable and energetic person to fill the role of Office Administrator.

The role requires an individual who can act as the face to the membership during office hours as set by the Board of Directors. Duties which will include answering emails, phone messages, and other administrative functions. As well as being accessible via phone / email for the remainder of the work week.

Duties to include but not limited to.

• Assist with registration for all GMHA players.
• Assist in the collection of registration and fees in accordance with Hockey Canada, OMHA, OHF and GMHA Policies and Procedures.
• Keep accurate records of registered GMHA players and their team assignments.
• Assist with rostering for House League, Local League and Rep as required.
• Follow guidelines as set out in the OMHA Privacy Policy.
• To record the proceedings at the AGM and at all Board/Director and League disciplinary meetings.
• To arrange meeting facilities, agenda’s and notify Directors and/or Board Members of their meetings.
• To post, on the GMHA website and in the arenas the minutes of all Board and Director meetings.
• Assist Treasurer in preparing information for the auditor.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Treasurer or President.

Education / Experience:

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma, as well as 2 years of professional experience.
• Detail-oriented, accurate and organized, meet deadlines.
• Ability to monitor and follow-up on correspondence as well as time sensitive projects requiring response or further action.
• Ability to work in a team environment with volunteers.
• Demonstrate skills in conflict resolution.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills. Core Skills
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with office equipment including photocopiers, scanners, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner.
• Ability to keep records, conversations and activities confidential.

Assets

• Knowledge of Hockey Canada and its development programs and delivery structure.
• Knowledge of OHF / OMHA / OWHA and how they operate.

All applicants must be able to show or obtain an up to date VSC (Vulnerable Sector Check) as well as complete required courses from the OMHA (Respect in Sport) (Return to Play) Etc.
