BODY CHECKING CLINICS FOR U14 (2009) & U15 (2008) ATHLETES WHO WISH TO TRYOUT FOR 2022-23 REP TEAMS
THE GMHA IS OFFERING BODY CHECKING CLINICS FOR U14 (2009) & U15 (2008) ATHLETES WHO WISH TO TRYOUT FOR 2022-23 REP TEAMS.
Body checking is an integral part of rep hockey starting at U14 and will be assessed during this year’s tryouts. It is highly recommended that all athletes wishing to participate in the 2022-23 team tryouts for the U14 (2009) U15 (2008) age group have some prior training in body checking. As a result, the GMHA will offer body-checking clinics for these age groups.
All U14, U15 players that are planning on attending tryouts for the Rep ‘A’ Program of their respective age group (or) plan to play ‘MD’ and be a possible AP Player for their respective age Rep ‘A’ Team MUST complete a 2022 Checking Clinic Program (Classroom & On-Ice) to be eligible to attend Rep ‘A’ tryouts the week of May 9, 2022
U15 (2008) players if you have already completed this course last year you do not need to repeat it again.
Eligibility Requirements to be able to attend GMHA Body Checking Clinics: ·
Athlete MUST have been registered with the GMHA for the 2021-22 season.
As per the OMHA directive - NRP (non-resident players) are NOT eligible to participate.
Clinics will be filled on a ‘first come-first serve’ basis and we anticipate that it will fill quickly. So Please Register ASAP to avoid disappointment!

All clinics to be held at the Georgina Ice Palace.
In-Class Clinic: Wednesday May 4th, 2022 (5:30-7pm)
On Ice Clinic: Wednesday May 4th, 2022 (7:30-9pm)
In-Class Clinic: Friday May 6th, 2022 (5:30-7pm)
On Ice Clinic: Friday May 6th, 2022 (7:30-9pm)
Body checking clinics are NO charge for the players and coaches in attendance.
Registration closes on
Monday May 2nd, 2022 please register ASAP.
