U8 & U9 Programming
Last season, the OHF released a memo indicated some changes would be coming. Since that memo we have been in continuing contact with the OMHA/OHF and the YSMHL with the aim of getting clarity and direction as well as providing input into how to better structure the program.
For the upcoming season and moving forward at the competitive level it will remain the same from a structure and league point of view. There will still be high performance tiering and there is confirmation that there will also be a YSMHL division to play within for those teams. The name and branding may end up being different, however there will continue to be performance based tiering.
Additionally, the GMHA is working hard to provide more programming options for those players and families who have the desire to engage in more additional programming for their children.
2023 - 2024 SEASON COACHING APPLICATIONS FOR U8 MD and U9 MD
If you possess the following, we would like to hear from you:
1. A desire to assist our players in the development of their hockey and life skills.
2. Knowledge and understanding of the Minor Hockey system in Ontario.
3. Must be able to provide a current “Police Vulnerable Sector Check” with the submission of your resume.
