End of Season - What you need to know

We have three REP teams playing for championship titles, our Hockey School and House League teams play Sunday April 7 for their division championship titles in their "Championship Day" Event, banquets for all of our REP and House League teams take place Monday to Wednesday next week, our newest GMHA hosted "Spring Meltdown" tournament takes place April 13-14, tryout schedule for 2013-14 season is posted to the website and our AGM takes place at the ROC on April 24 at 7:30pm.

Our youngest REP team,
Super 6, play for their division Championship title this upcoming weekend. The round robin games are listed below. Check their website through
www.georginahockey.com to find out if they advance to Sunday games. All games take place at the Stouffville arena (Pad B).
Friday April 5 @ 6:15pm vs Stouffville
Saturday April 6 @ 12:15pm vs Newmarket
Saturday April 6 @ 4:15pm vs Unionville
Our OMHA Finalists,
Minor Midget AE, have been given the opportunity to play the Lakeshore Challenge. This is one game between the York Simcoe Champion (Aurora) and the Lakeshore League Champion (Ajax). As Ajax was unable to attend, our Georgina Minor Midget team was asked to take part. Game takes place on Sunday at 4:50pm at the Stouffville Clipper Complex against Aurora.
Our York Simcoe Champions,
Minor Atom AA, will play the Lakeshore Challenge against Ajax (Lakeshore League Champion). Their game takes place on Saturday at 2pm at the Aurora Recreation Complex.
Our
House League Championship Day is Sunday April 7 at the Ice Palace. Rogers TV will be taping and televising at a later date all of the "A" Division Championship games. See attached schedule for all the game times. GMHA T-shirts ($15), Yearbooks ($15), pucks and window decals will all be available for purchase so get them before we sell out.

Banquets will take place next week at the Sutton Arena Hall. Coaches must be prepared to present awards to their players for Most Improved, Most Dedicated, Most Sportsmanlike. REP/Select teams will also present Most Assists award and House League teams will present an MVP player award. Our Special Annual Awards will also be presented to successful candidates throughout the banquet nights. Pizza will be available for players to snack on while the awards are being presented.

Spring Meltdown Tournament is sold out! For $75 players receive a jersey, socks and a weekend of hockey (5 games). No experience, but full equipment required. Payment can be dropped off at the GMHA office in the drop box (it is locked from the inside). Everyone will be contacted over the next few days. Tryout Schedule for 2013-14 season is now posted on the website. See top of our website home page. Payment is due at the first tryout ($60 flat fee). The only exception is Super 7 which is $15 paid per each tryout a player attends. (Super 6 and Midget Tryouts take place in August)
Our
AGM will take place on April 24 at the ROC at 7:30pm. There are proposed changes to our Constitution and they are also posted to our website so please take a look prior to the AGM.
