Finally...This one is as good as a win for us!
What a great, well played and exciting game! Once again a total team effort here folks.
We have been battling with this team for two years and many times coming very close but this was our first point against them. Well deserved and well earned it was.
This one is extra special as many of the kids and parents are friends from previous teams and tournaments and we get along well and like and respect each other.
From our outstanding goaltending to our defensive corps and through to our forwards this was one of our better games we have played this year.

This should give our kids the confidence they need knowing now that they can do it and that their efforts were rewarded.
Our Goaltender, in this case Keinen, was very strong for us between the pipes making a number of beauty saves including a couple off the noggin. Rebound control was key and on the odd occasion when they were around our net looking for a rebound the D men kept the Jets away with good support by blocking them out and not giving them any chances.
Our defense also chipped in with some awesome work on the blue line keeping the puck in their zone and then firing some laser shots from the point creating some excellent scoring opportunities. Great job defence!
Our forwards took the play to them from the opening face-off and continued throughout the game. Fore-checking and back-checking with the same determination they outplayed and out chanced Unionville for a majority of this game.
Although down by a goal we didn't quit and kept pressing and with 28 seconds to play we got the equalizer from Cooper on a goalmouth scramble as we were all around their net. We held them off for the final seconds and got the well earned point.
Congratulations to all of you on your fearsome effort today.
