A 1-0 Win
With a depleted line-up and some kids still suffering lingering effects of illness we managed to pull out a win. Truth be told - for the most part - we were outplayed in this game.
But this one makes up for other games when the kids outplayed their opponents but did not get the win we would have expected. These things tend to balance themselves out over a season and this is deservedly one of those occasions.

Some games notes and observations:
Firstly, this win would not have been possible if not for some outstanding goaltending from Kienen. Props to you little Skinner on a great game and another big donut for the team!
A good effort by our forwards who took up the challenge and made a difference when we were down to only 7 skaters.
Some awesome back checking was a contributing factor.
To our defencemen who played tough in support of our goaltender and helped clear out the front of the net when things got a little scrambly.
Special mention to Nathan "The Rush" Racine and Caleb "End to End" Ferris for a couple of dynamite rushes that resulted in scoring chances. You two looked like a couple of forwards on those, good work boys!
Finally kudos to Kaden for some relentless backchecking which led to a solo rush and a beautiful goal that got us on the board late in the game and sealed this win.
