Game 25 vs Richmond hill Stars away 18 Jan 2014
A 5-0 WIN
A regular season series sweep of the Richmond Hill Stars (3-0)!!!
Well, as expected this was another electrifying, intense, hard fought game.
We had a good crowd on hand to support and cheer on our team today.
Especially for an away game.  This says something about our small community and the support we have for our kids and our teams.  Kudos to all of you for ensuring we were not outnumbered and out cheered.

Some comments and observations:
A total team effort from the goaltending right on out to the forwards.  Team defence lead the way today along with some relentless backchecking to solidify this win and the shutout.  The kids protected our goaltender and cleared out the front of the net and would not be pushed around.  It's great to see that they are all getting it now and are learning how important it is.
We opened the scoring in this game and then finished it off with Richmond Hill pushing hard in between to try and get on the board.  Our goal scoring came from everywhere including our defencemen which also contributed to this overall team effort.

Kudos, Props, and High Fives:
To Kienen for timely saves, great rebound control, and another Big Donut!  Way to go little Skinner!
Must be all that Mickey D's!
To Teigan, Matthew, and Cooper for proving that pucks to the net is never a bad thing.
To a couple of our defencemen for scoring their first Blaze goals respectively.

To Rylan "The Shot" Tait for firing a blistering high hard one that the goalie had no chance on.  Watch out goalies everywhere now that he has got the taste.  Proud parents for sure are Paul and Tiffany!

To Caleb "End to End" Ferris for a rush he started in his own end, deked through several (all) of the other players and finished it off with a beautiful goal! Another set of proud parents for sure are Scott and Cheryl!
High Fives to both of you guys.
