A good start to the season......
The return of Darcy Carter made an immediate impact as the towering left winger buried his first of the year and the first goal of the season for the AA Blaze, Jack Mayo and Cameron Knispel drew the assists.
The goal came at the 7:33 mark of the first period and put the Blaze up by one early. Unfortunately the lead only lasted until the Redmen tied the game at the 6 minute mark of the second period. The game was a back and forth affair until later in the third period when the Blaze had a couple untimely defensive break downs that sealed their fate. The Redmen went on to a 3-1 hard fought victory.
Lots of positives can be taken away from our first game boys, our hard work will pay off!
