Part of the process.....
It was a tale of two teams this weekend for the boys from the Blaze.......
What could only be described as one of the best played games of the young season, the boys put together a great effort vs the top team from TNT. The boys really showed that we can play with any team in this loop. Although the score ended with TNT winning 5-1, the game was a very tight contest through 2-1/2 periods. A couple bounces go our way and that is a different ending. If the game vs TNT was one of our best, Sunday's contest vs our rival from Newmarket was not. With both teams coming off 5-1 losses to TNT, the Redmen seemed to be the team on Sunday that wanted to snap the losing streak. A beautiful goal by Jack Mayo and a 2pt night by Darcy Carter was not enough to lift the Blaze to their first W of the season. Most of the game seemed pretty one sided as the Blaze were out shot 26-9 and lost 4-3.
The sky is not falling, this is all part of the process, the boys have already come a long way this year as a team, we have been competitive in every game, now it's up to the coaching staff to figure out how to get 3 full periods out of the boys!
