Blaze lose a close one.....
Coming off back to back wins the Blaze were heading into Aurora with high hopes.....
Despite winning two straight games vs Richmondhill and Markham, it was the Tigers that appeared to have the confidence in this battle of the 5th and 6th place teams. Aurora seemed to have control over most of the game out shooting the Blaze 13-4 and dominating puck possession. Georgina jumped out to an early lead as d-man Jared Davidescu got his second goal of the year and the lone tally for the Blaze. Even with a mostly lethargic effort by the Blaze, they found themselves tied at one with 7 minutes to play when the Tigers went up for good. Aurora added an empty net goal in the dying seconds for a 3-1 win, the win for Aurora moves them one point behind Newmarket for 4th in the division.
